Re: SB Believing Bye Week Mock
Thinking of Aaron Jones as a RB, thus dismissing the option of signing him simply because he is a RB misses the point of his value to the offense. He is a playmaker first, his mere presence on the field causes defenses to be stressed because he can hurt the defense from any place on the field. He is...

Re: SB Believing Bye Week Mock
My wife has a kidney transplant. If I were an NFL player, I would have thought long and hard about sitting out the season.
Casting dispersions on a man for thinking of his family first is something I just can't get my head around.

Re: Shortened Preseason
However I also believe that when the virus resumed in October/November the remaining games will be cancelled completely. ??? When it resumes? There is a huge outbreak going on right now in the middle of the summer. I know. I can't help but laugh all the time that last week the country was literally...

Re: Rank the Roster 2020: #30 Runoff
Just seeing this. Given the chance, I would have voted for Josiah Deguara, which makes it an 8-7 win for the #30 spot.

Re: Rank the Roster 2020: #30
From ESPN, Rob Demovsky: "This eventually will become LaFleur’s full-fledged offense -- a run-first, play-action system that general manager Brian Gutekunst kept in mind when he drafted running back A.J. Dillon in the second round and H-back/tight end Josiah Deguara in the third." Deguara ...

Re: Rank the Roster 2020: #30
Josiah Deguara. The GM picked him in the third round for a reason, and that reason certainly doesn't include sitting on the bench. If the offense is going to have a different look, Deguara is one of the players that will bring it about.

Re: No 2020 season - 2021 Draft?
If there is no NFL season, that likely means there will be no NCAA season. So how does the NCAA treat eligibility? Does every college player get the option to roll over one year of eligibility as well as have the option to enter the draft? It seems to me that the possibility of a less robust draft p...

Re: Will Rodgers have his number retired?
I'm pretty sure the only numbers that get retired by the Packers are only those that make the NFL HOF. This approach removes any subjectivity out of the decision.
So yes, Rodgers #12 will retired.

Re: False Prophet
Interesting point about Rodgers' extension especially when you consider our talk on here was about franchising him for 2 years. Rodgers old contract would have ran out this pat season so we would be going into 2020 with a franchise tag on him. That would have been $26,895,000, that would have been ...

Re: 2020 Positional Draft Talk - ILB
In 2018 if Gutekunst would have stayed at #14 he could have drafted Tremaine Edmunds. Edmunds was drafted #16 by the Bills and after a so-so rookie year played much better in 2019. Instead he traded back, then traded up. For those of you who state that the team doesn't value ILB, this example I woul...

Re: Aaron Jones - prepping to get paid
If Jone's 2020 season is anything like 2019 it would be insanity to not make him offer he may accept instead of letting him walk. The QB will be 37, we're in win now mode. This decision is different than the Cardinals decision to extend Johnson or the Giants decision to draft a RB with the #2 pick. ...

Looks like Geronimo Allison is signing with the Detroit Lions.
Wish him well, but it was time to move on from G-Mo.

Re: How you became a fan
My parents and family have always been Packer fans, my first memory of the team were the Lombardi Super Bowl years. Expectations were always high, but as the team started to get worse, around 1968, I distinctly remember a watching games and hearing a string of F bombs from Uncle Robert on a weekly b...
