Re: Packer OLine Prospects
The restriction right now is that so few players do the agility drills (shuttle and 3-cone) at the combine. The numbers will grow during Pro Days. FWIW, some analyst Josh Norris has determined that the shuttle is the best predictor and that if you hit a 4.47 or below, your odds of being an NFL star...

Re: Packer OLine Prospects
Thanks, by the way. I like to see analysis like this. I wonder though, do the Packers really look at this? Or do they look for players who can do certain play characteristics on the field? The only way to perform the characteristic is to have the traits as you have analyzed. Either way, it's a great...

Re: Packer OLine Prospects
Surprised at how few players fall into that matrix. The standards don't seem that restrictive.
Which of those metrics weeds out the most players?

Re: An Ideal Draft/Offseason according to YoHo
"This is a 5-star recruit who was a disappointment until he finally put it together this past season." This is always a red flag for me. The guy is very gifted and could have done better sooner. So why didn't he? Maybe he is lazy and not focused enough. Maybe in his final season he decide...

Re: The Packer Leadership Conundrum
On the other hand, it is clear that Rodgers is not the elite QB that he used to be. He might still remain better than most starting QBs in the NFL . But he has suffered too many playoff-like losses in the past years to say that he can carry a team once the weather gets cold, and maybe not even when...

Re: New York Jets and Trade Compensation
this had nothing to do personally with Amos, or Harrison Smith of the Vikes, both these safety's are on the down side of great careers, and it shows in there play, I can't speak to Smith, or the schemes he played in, but in ours Amos was late against the run and also in coverage, and for what we pa...

Re: New York Jets and Trade Compensation
why would a GM give up two first for Rodgers when he is incapable of winning a SB, or is it that our GM's over the years have made it to hard a task for the QB to over come there poor decisions, and the GM's that are interested know this. everyone in a hurry to dump Rodgers for Love simply refuses ...

Re: New York Jets and Trade Compensation
Jets will go ‘all out’ to trade for Packers’ Aaron Rodgers Last week from Shrine Bowl practice, PFN reported that the New York Jets will make a move to acquire Aaron Rodgers in a trade this offseason. That has been further confirmed here in Mobile. In fact, one source said that general manager Joe ...

Trade rumors picking up steam. It will be interesting to hear what Rodgers says on McAfee today. A new update, Packers rumored to only be considering trading Rodgers to the AFC: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/breaking-packers-make-significant-aaron-rodgers-trade-decision/ar-AA16H1SC?ocid=entn...

Re: VERY early: Building the 2023 Packers
Start the build with bringing in Sean Payton as Head Coach. And a suitable replacement for Gutey. Cuz right now the dog ain't huntin' too good. I don't think you fire a HC if he has one down year after back to back 13 win seasons. And do we really want to relinquish a first round draft pick to NO t...

Re: Grading the 2020 Packers Draft
I dont hate, just a realistic look. I am a big Rodgers fan to even his college days. I wanted him to start earlier knowing full well we would not win another SB with Favre. When contradicted you always go to his first ballot HOF status or back to back MVPs. What is he now should be the question. And...

Re: Grading the 2020 Packers Draft
First, I am a Love fan. I believe if he did not have a new coach and a mostly new starters on offense in his last season, he replicates the prior year and is a top 5 pick. And yes, Joe Burrow, Herbert, and Tua were in that draft. At the time of the pick, Rodgers abilities were in significant decline...

Re: backthepack jan 23 mock
If we can get that for AR and Bahk, Gute would win GM of the year. I'm thinking the value is much less. I would be happy with a first and I think that is wishful thinking. Lafluer may be out? Maybe you heard rumors about his brother. MLF maybe the best asset the Packers have right now. As far as the...

Re: Credit Joe Barry some, will ya!?
I agree, he did a great job that 2nd Minny game. But I can't forget about the 1st minny game and a dozen others where the defense was really bad. And he had Stokes and Gary at the time. I give credit to the players for the defensive turn around since the bye, do people actually think these cover 2 ...

Re: Black Monday - Coaching Changes
MLF has made some mistakes. But he is young and extremely successful. He is evolving and will get better as the years go on. There is no way we let him go. Gute has likewise been very successful. His drafts have been very bold - still am impressed with the Jaire draft as the best "working if a...
